Euro American K9 Family Protection dogs are carefully selected for temperament, nerves, social skills, ability to work with small children and take commands from them. Most of the Shepherds we offer for sale in our Family Protection trained K9 have been bred by our Trainers & Breeders and we have had them since pups, making them ideal to be molded into great prospects for our program.

These Dogs are tested and are fully trained in basic obedience on & off leash. All the Shepherds we offer in this program are curious to security situations and alert confidently and without fear on strangers. All of our Protection Dogs must be confident in all situations to deter the threat or advance to protect or bite the intruder or threat to his family or territory. However, once the owner gives the command they will retreat and let the stranger in on their owner's ocmmand or relaxed voice on the situation.

Family Protection Shepherds are very social and act just as normal pets until a threat is perceived or is called into action or the key word is said. Family Protection Shepherds are predominantly either Working Line German Shepherds or our Old Line Western Shepherds (SL) which are beautiful with strong pedigrees of proven Working Line and Titled Bloodlines, usually 5-7 generations back or more.

These dogs are bred and trained to be handled by a novice who has not owned a protection dog previously. They naturally have strong Guarding Instinct of property and their inner circle of family. We still select each dog and finish them according to the client's needs as much as possible. (Sometimes clients request us to come to their homes to deliver and give a brief 3-5 day handler course with these dogs - which is additional cost, but 85% of the time it is not necessary. Although it is an option for any client that would like one or two of our trainers to come to their homes anywhere in North America to handle the dog with them, again this is additional and at the client's expense.)

All of our Protection Dogs come with X-rays and full export pedigree and fully executed contracts. We are one of the few Protection Dog companies that also back up the health of our dog with an Exclusive 5-Year Health Guarantee, which covers any congenital health issues that might arise for 5 years from date of purchase. We also offer a 5-year Guarantee on all our dogs' Hips & Elbows. All our dogs come with Vet certification of vaccinations and a full check up before they leave our facilities in USA or Europe. All this comes written in our contracts which are written and drawn in the USA, either in our NY location or in our Florida location.

Our Protection K9 are usually finished for each client individually so it's always best to call us and fill out the questionnaire to learn more about our Protection K9. We can send you pictures & videos of what we have available when you contact us. Often we can provide you with pedigrees, and more information on each dog - as they usually are placed in their new homes within 30-45 days of becoming available.

What we have available changes from week to week, so the website is not always current and most of our Protection K9 sell before our web designer has time to post them. However, we always are adding young pups and young dogs to our Protection program annually that will be ready in the future . We start from a young age to guarantee a well-rounded suitable dog for our clients.

This also allows us to keep our price very reasonable as we are building our Protection prospects from pups in most cases. Most of our competition buys older dogs exclusively and retrains them hoping to get a match. As a result of that approach, it's not a perfect science and sometimes issues arise that require taking the dog back. So we try to do things differently and work with our dogs longer from our breeding programs, and dogs that we have seen in the clubs from pups, and dogs that we ourselves breed or our partners breed exclusively for Protection with a proven track record of success.
